Quotes about bowden (16 Quotes)

Actually, I had planned on talking to (Bowden) about it before he came up to me. He kind of started it off, so I'm sure he sensed it. We spoke about it again (Wednesday) and he just really wants me to be able to prove that I can be consistent as far as carrying the ball 15 or 16 times and being productive with it.

I was talking with coach Bobby Bowden before the game. Something led into the conversation and he just made the point. He says, 'We use everybody we've got.' I noticed that true freshman Michael Ray Garvin, who's a good player, just played his five or six kickoffs.

If Bobby Bowden wins 50 more games than I do, I wouldn't care. He's a great guy, a great coach. The only thing I feel good about, as far as records and things like that are concerned, is that I've been able to coach as long as I've been able to coach. How many guys can coach as long as I've been coaching Be healthy enough to be able to get it done and still enjoy it

I have great respect for Bobby Bowden and what he's done for college football. His teams play with enthusiasm. I've coached Florida State kids (in the NFL) and they believe in their program. It's a very competitive program.

I had the opportunity to make the play again - later on I ran the same route and was actually successful on a leaping catch, ... Coach (Jeff) Bowden always tells us to take advantage of that next opportunity.

When you look at naming the father of Florida State football, it should be Tom Nugent, and I say that without any disrespect for Coach (Bobby) Bowden. In his thinking as a coach, Tom Nugent was ahead of his time, and I mean light years ahead of everybody.

I'm going to give it to my mother Diane Wynn right now. I wanted in the worst way to win, but I'll never forget playing in this game. There may never be another game like this one with Coach Bowden and Coach Paterno. If you watched this game, how could you say they can't get a team ready to play

Tell them to get over it. That's the rules everybody plays by. They shouldn't be complaining about that. Bowden didn't make them up. Paterno didn't make them up. But somebody made them up.

The last time FSU traveled to Boston College, Bobby Bowden was in his first season as coach. Neither team was a member of a conference. Now, they're together in the ACC's Atlantic Division. Saturday's winner takes a big step toward playing in the first ACC title game. We'll practice just as hard, no matter what, but you'll sure talk to your kids about it, ... Your coaches are going to be aware of it. When you're playing somebody in your division, those are the people you need to get a loss on their record somehow.

45th over England 171-5 (Pietersen 76, Collingwood 2) Lee is bowling seriously quickly - consistently around 95mph - and looks to have trapped Collingwood lbw. Only for Bowden to rule, wrongly, that Lee had no balled. Oh dear oh dear, Bowden is having a shocker. Collingwood dabs a single, and then Pietersen twice thumps Lee straight down the ground. Incredible cricket I've put 100 on Australia to win in the same way I did for the Rugby World Cup final, ... It matters so much that we win that I want some financial compensation to drown my sorrows if we lose. Anyone else have some better ways of reducing the pain of such sporting events.

I think that his feeling is that he needs to establish himself. I think it would be very difficult for him to follow coach Bowden right away. I think it's his indication that he wants to stay. He doesn't care what the buyout (clause in his contract) is because he wants to stay. So that answers the question if he wants to leave and go back to Florida State, and I don't think he does.
