Chris is ranked No. 1 in the WPIAL and the PIAA, so I'm expecting him to make it to Hershey. It will be a little tougher for Rick to make it to states.

That ruined it for us because we had to give them Saturday off to comply with the PIAA.
We were coming in at 10-0, but people really weren't sure about us. East is the champion that you have to go through in our conference to get to (PIAA District 1) and the states. They're well coached, and they've had great athletes over the last five or six years. Last year, we came here and lost in overtime. The girls came in determined to show we could play with them.
It's amazing being undefeated so far. Hopefully, I can get a state title. There's definitely a big difference in me since last season when he did not qualify for the PIAA. I've been solid on my feet and solid all-around this season.
That was a great experience for our kids to play a big game like that in front of a big crowd. Erie McDowell is probably going to be the Quad A team coming out of their district for the PIAA AAAA playoffs again.
The first one in the PIAA playoffs is always the hardest one, but you have to get your foot in the door.
Our goal is to win the WPIAL and PIAA titles. I guess that means if we want to win a title, we might have to meet Reynolds at 10 a.m. on Feb. 11.
Our goal is to win section, WPIAL, and PIAA titles this year. Winning a PIAA title is the only goal we haven't attained.
George felt he had a better chance of qualifying for the WPIAL and PIAA tournaments at 275 the last two years.
I would like to believe that we can and will compete in Quad-A. But, certainly, it will be a challenge. You look at us, with 488 boys, and then you look at a program like North Allegheny for example and there is a real difference. But the biggest difference will be in the PIAA playoffs, where we could see a team with over three times as many boys as us.
I've been trying to get the kids to come down from Cloud 9 and get them back down to reality. We've had an incredible run, becoming the first team in school history to win a WPIAL title and qualify for the PIAA tournament, but the kids have to realize it doesn't get any easier.
The WPIAL runner-up actually has an easier road to the PIAA title match.
We have not talked about creating a fifth classification that much. The football coaches committee met in Hershey, as they always do the weekend of the PIAA championships. Our stance is that we are going to perhaps revisit it for the next classification cycle but really, there is no urgency at this time to visit the matter.
I'm very proud of my accomplishment. This tournament is almost as tough as the PIAA Tournament.
Dave fell one win short of a PIAA berth last year. It would be great if he could make it to Hershey for his senior year.
We are a better tournament team than a dual-meet team. I expect us to make some noise at both the Southwest regional and PIAA tournaments.
