    We're hoping to build on last year. Our goal is to get by the second round of the tournament and to be competitive with some of the big teams in the SCC and get into the SCC tournament. We want to capitalize on our experience. These guys all have a lot of time as varsity players last year. We are working on solidifying our defense. We're hoping we can get a couple of guys besides Matt to score some goals. If we do those things, we should be all right.


    We can't afford to be complacent. If the industry doesn't embrace new technology, then we will be replaced. But, SCC is a technology that we are adopting enthusiastically.

    I give Sheehan a lot of credit. They skated hard, were disciplined and they out-skated us...especially in the third period. We had a good chance to win two in a row and keep our hopes alive for an SCC Division II championship and we didn't come ready to play. They deserved to win...that is the bottom line.


    In order for the Office of Government Integrity to conduct background screenings on all vendors doing business with the SCC, it would require amending the current law or an executive order by the governor.

    Our goals are still the game. We want to win the SCC Quinnipiac Division, defend our conference title and win the Division I state championship. Those goals will now be harder to attain, but they are still attainable.

    Hopefully, we will see the post-season. It depends on how we jell as a team. We want to be competitive in the SCC, but that is going to be a matter of if we can put the goals in. Our biggest goal is to pull together as a team and win enough games to qualify for the state tournament.

    The money was set aside for us, but the stipulation was that we had to hold a referendum first. If we didn't act now, we'd lose the money because the SCC would be entitled to give it to another school district with a successful referendum.
